Melissa Magee

I recently had the opportunity to work with a rising star in Northern Ireland. Melissa was one of this year’s Miss NI contenders and has been featured in various fashion/lifestyle magasines in Northern Ireland.  Melissa hopes to be a television presenter and after meeting and chatting with her, I have no doubt that she will be successful in her chosen vocation.

Liquid Fire

Liquid can be one of the most challenging forms to photograph.  We often seek to control our subjects through physical and sometimes vocal direction but water adheres to none of the aforementioned.  Instead, it goes where it wants to go.  My greatest failures have often included water-based shoots but I have learned much more from these trying occasions in the studio and in open and unpredictable waters.

Slieve Croob

I headed up to Slieve Croob with an old friend and we set about getting an evening shot with the Mournes nestled in the background of the shot. It was a very hazy evening and visibility was poor but I managed to blend three exposures together to get the beautiful cloud detail against the rugged landscape.
